[ ABOUT ]
Our Mission
The mission of Project Ujima Code is to expose Atlanta area 7th & 8th grade students to computer science and coding with supplemental activities, workshops, guest speakers and field trips. By engaging students with hands-on experiences, games, and activities.
How It Works
During the Fall and Spring school semesters, we host monthly ‘project based learning’ sessions, that involves fun coding methods in areas like music, robotics, and Legos’. Using high school student volunteers, we’ll reinforce these concepts with fun programming applications. At the conclusion of the spring session, all students will receive certificates of completion.
How To Apply
Currently all participants would apply through Horizons Atlanta
(Woodward Academy).
“We aim to ignite our students interests in the field and encourage them to explore further STEM opportunities when they enter high school.”
